Organizational Update
Restructuring
In November 2008, IAAW restructured and through a hiring committee selected Rachelle Venne as the new CEO to lead the organization. Rachelle’s experience of working in the community in the area of community relations, finance and project management will assist in a smooth transition.
This year we also welcome – Ruth Carlson, a former Director and experienced administrator to be the new Executive Administrative Assistant. Sara Singer, a recent university graduate is the new Community Event Coordinator.
Alberta IAAW Chapters
As requested, IAAW provides information and support to Aboriginal women across the province. When there are five or six women interested in a community, we encourage them to set up an IAAW Chapter. Contact our office for more information on a Chapter near you.

Our major fundraiser is Esquao Awards and from now until May 1st, we will be extremely busy arranging for another great event. We will feature great entertainment and celebrate 15 years and 300 past recipients.
